INDIANAPOLIS—Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) will induct 15 world-renowned nurse researchers into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame induction, conversations with the honorees, and special sessions showcasing their research will take place during the organization’s 36th International Nursing Research Congress in Seattle on Saturday, 19 July 2025. During the event, these individuals—representing Australia, Canada, England, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the United States—will share experiences and words of wisdom from their illustrious careers.

“I’m humbled and honored to recognize this year’s 15 esteemed inductees into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame,” said Sigma President Sandra C. This year marks the 16th presentation of Sigma’s prestigious Hall of Fame honor. The 2025 inductees will join more than 300 previously inducted nurse researchers who have achieved significant and sustained national or international recognition and whose research has improved the profession of nursing and the people it serves. Since its inception, the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame presentation has been sponsored by Wiley.

“Wiley is honored to partner with Sigma and support the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame, recognizing the extraordinary contributions of nurse researchers who are driving meaningful advancements in healthcare worldwide,” said James Pearce, PhD, Associate Publisher, Health Sciences at Wiley. “These inductees exemplify the highest standards of excellence, innovation, and impact in nursing science. On behalf of Wiley, I extend our most sincere congratulations to the 2025 honorees. Your research is transforming patient care and strengthening the global nursing community.”

Sigma’s annual nursing research congress welcomes 800-1,000 nurse researchers, students, clinicians, and leaders who network, collaborate, and share the latest nursing scientific research.
