Honorees will be recognized during the 32nd International Nursing Research Congress
INDIANAPOLIS —The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) will recognize three emerging nurse researchers and scholars at Sigma’s 32nd International Nursing Research Congress in July 2021. During the event, these individuals will be presented with the Emerging Nurse Researcher/Scholar Award. The awardees represent three of Sigma’s global regions: Asia, North America, and Oceania.
Since 2015, the Emerging Nurse Researcher/Scholar Award has recognized early career nurse researchers and scholars from each of Sigma’s seven global regions whose research or scholarship has influenced the nursing profession and the people it serves.
“I am impressed with the high-quality research and scholarly work these early career nurses are contributing in areas such as infection control, oncology pain and symptom management, and emergency healthcare—all happening during a global pandemic,” said Sigma President Richard Ricciardi, PhD, CRNP, FAANP, FAAN. “I extend my congratulations to them for their achievements, and I look forward to following their future work as they continue to transform global healthcare.”
Sigma’s annual nursing research congress attracts approximately 800 nurse researchers, students, clinicians, and leaders focused on evidence-based research. The theme for the 32nd International Nursing Research Congress is Transforming Global Nursing Research and Scholarship Through Co-Creation, Awareness, Balance, and Purpose.
