Honorees will be recognized during Sigma’s 34th International Nursing Research Congress
INDIANAPOLIS — The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) will recognize six emerging nurse researchers and scholars at Sigma’s 34th International Nursing Research Congress in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in July. The awardees represent six of Sigma’s global regions: Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and Oceania.
Since 2015, the Emerging Nurse Researcher/Scholar Award has recognized early career nurse researchers and scholars from each of Sigma’s seven global regions whose research or scholarship has influenced the nursing profession and the people it serves.
“On behalf of the International Board of Directors, staff, and membership of Sigma, I am thrilled to recognize these six outstanding emerging nurse researchers and scholars,” said Sigma President Kenneth Dion, PhD, MSN, MBA, RN, RCSI, FAAN. “These individuals are at the threshold of groundbreaking contributions to nursing research and knowledge. I am excited to witness the continuation and future impact of their important work.”
Sigma’s annual nursing research congress attracts approximately 800 nurse researchers, students, clinicians, and leaders focused on evidence-based research. The theme for the 34th International Nursing Research Congress is Connect Nursing Globally Through Research and Evidence Dissemination.
