TRAVEL GRANT INFORMATION

Grant opportunities are available through the Sigma Foundation for Nursing to assist in offsetting the cost of attending the 48th Biennial Convention from 8-12 November 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.

The applications will open 16 January 2025. Deadline is 1 May 2025 at 11:59 EDT. Thank you for your interest.

Recipient Stipulations

The recipient of a grant below will be responsible for paying all fees associated with attending convention and must register by the early registration deadline. The recipient will be reimbursed up to the amount of the grant award via US check or wire upon arrival at the Foundation Tea. Date and time will be announced in the award letter. Attendance at the Foundation Tea is mandatory.

Edith Anderson Leadership Education Grant
Dr. Doris J. Froebe Leadership Education Grant

Recipient will be given the grant at the Foundation Tea at congress.

Criteria:

  • The applicant must be a current Sigma member.
  • The applicant must find it difficult, if not impossible, to attend convention without financial support.
  • The applicant must be attending the entire event (8-12 November 2025).

Sigma Nursing Staff Leadership Education Grant

Recipient will be given the grant at the Foundation Tea at congress.

Criteria:

  • The applicant must be a current Sigma member.
  • The applicant must find it difficult, if not impossible, to attend convention without financial support.
  • The applicant must be attending the entire event (8-12 November 2025).

Delta Theta Leadership Education Grant

Recipient will be given the grant at the Foundation Tea at congress.

Criteria:

  • Current Sigma member living in a middle- or low-income country (as defined by the World Bank Classifications).
  • The applicant must find it difficult, if not impossible, to attend convention without financial support.
  • The applicant must be attending the entire event (8-12 November 2025).

Omicron Delta Leadership Education Grant

Recipient will be given the grant at the Foundation Tea at congress.

Criteria:

  • Current Sigma member living in a middle- or low-income country (as defined by the World Bank Classifications).
  • The applicant must find it difficult, if not impossible, to attend convention without financial support.
  • The applicant must be attending the entire event (8-12 November 2025).

Anne Muller Leadership Education Grant

The Anne Muller Leadership Education Grant is available to applicants who are a member of a Sigma North America Region 12 chapter to attend Sigma's 48th Biennial Convention, 8-12 November 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. This leadership education grant has been established in memory of 2007-2011 Region 12 Coordinator Anne Muller, with donations made by Universal Health Services Nursing & Quality Leadership Teams.

The US $1,000 Anne Muller Leadership Education Grant will be presented to the recipient at the Foundation Tea during the convention.

Criteria:

  • The applicant must be a current Sigma member of a chapter in North America Region 12.
  • The applicant must find it difficult, if not impossible, to attend convention without financial support.
  • The applicant must be attending the entire event (8-12 November 2025).

Dr. Constance M. Baker Leadership Education Grant

Recipient will be given the grant at the Foundation Tea at congress.

Criteria:

  • The applicant must be a current Sigma member in Africa.
  • The applicant must be presenting their accepted research (podium or poster) in person.
  • The applicant must find it difficult, if not impossible, to attend congress without financial support.
  • The applicant must be attending the entire event (8-12 November 2025).

Dr. Rose Constantino Leadership Education Grant

Recipient will be given the grant at the Foundation Tea at congress.

Criteria:

  • The applicant must be a current Sigma member in Philippines.
  • The applicant must be an active member of a Philippines Chapter.
  • The applicant must find it difficult, if not impossible, to attend congress without financial support.
  • The applicant must be attending the entire event (8-12 November 2025).

*Please note: Due to limited funds available, for all grants offered, except where noted, preference is given to applicants whose abstracts or posters have been accepted for presentation. Applications that do not meet the criteria listed above will not be reviewed for these grants and no additional correspondence will be sent.
