Nursing Research Grants

Sigma and its grant partners award more than US $200,000 annually in seed and major grants (US $5,000 to US $20,000) to nurses working to continuously improve nursing education, nursing leadership, and, above all, patient care excellence.

Nursing Leadership Education Grants

The majority—and sometimes 100%—of Leadership Education Grant applicants accepted to present their nursing research at a Sigma educational conference are unable to attend if they do not receive financial assistance to help offset registration and travel expenses.

With your support, we can help deserving nurses in practice or academe attend a Sigma conference to share their work and to network with nurse leaders from around the globe—what many have deemed a “life-changing experience.”

Sigma proudly produces a robust series of educational programming delivered via webinars and podcast episodes (SigmaCast).

All programs feature a top healthcare expert(s) presenting high-quality, relevant content on topics such as:

  • Research skills (proposal development and grant writing)

These popular educational programs are offered FREE to Sigma members representing a variety of healthcare settings around the world. Sessions consistently attract up to 250 nurses and provide continuing professional development to attendees.
